Syria
Dr Javid Abdelmoneim recently returned from the Syrian city of Raqqa, which was taken by Syrian Democratic Forces and US-supported Coalition forces from the Islamic State group in October 2017.
He spent a month working in a clinic set up by MSF in one of the few houses left standing in the city. Although the fighting had stopped, he found the war still taking a terrible toll.
