COMHealthFest 2025

Colombo, Sri Lanka– On Saturday, June 7, 2025, the College of Community Physicians of Sri Lanka organized the COMHealthFest public health festival at Vihara Maha Devi Park, Colombo. MSF South Asia’s participation was marked by significant engagement and strategic impact.

MSF’s stall attracted around 150 visitors, including medical professionals and the general public, showcasing strong interest in our humanitarian mission in South Asia and global health initiatives.

Our interactive digital activities effectively raised awareness on:

  • Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Awareness: To engage healthcare professionals and students, offering valuable insights into AMR, a critical global health challenge tackled by MSF worldwide.

  • Global Health and Humanitarian Medicine Course Promotion: Introduction medical professionals to our training program, simulating scenarios to apply knowledge from the GHHM course.

  • International Mobile Staff (IMS) Recruitment: To attract interest from qualified medical professionals, identifying 10 potential candidates for MSF’s talent pool.

Key Sri Lankan government officials, including the Health Minister, Secretary to the Ministry of Health, and Minister of Science and Technology, visited the MSF South Asia stall, opening avenues for collaboration on public health initiatives in Sri Lanka.

COMHealthFest enhanced MSF’s visibility in Sri Lanka’s medical community and introduced our global humanitarian expertise to the public. MSF remains committed to fostering community engagement and partnerships within Sri Lanka’s healthcare sector, leveraging insights from this event for future outreach.
