A conversation with medical students about medical humanitarian action.
Dr Unni Karunakara will share his 18 years of experience working in international health – from Brazil to the Congo – mainly with Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). He will speak about the principles and challenges of providing medical humanitarian aid.
After attending medical school in India, Dr Karunakara earned an MPH from Yale and a doctorate from Johns Hopkins. He recently completed a three-year term as International President of MSF and is now embarking on 5,000 kms bike tour across India, where he will travel to 65 places and stop to speak at 10 medical colleges.
