Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), India in collaboration with the Indian Public Health Association and Vardhaman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC) and Safdarjung Hospital is organising a two day event ‘Medical Humanitarianism: The MSF Experience’, for future and current medical practitioners on July 30th and 31st, 2014.
30 July 2014 (2:00 pm – 4:00 pm)
Talk by an MSF staff member on their experiences in the field.
A film screening that will be followed by a Q&A session facilitated by Leena Menghaney, Campaign Coordinator, MSF Access Campaign.
31 July 2014 (2:00 pm – 4:00 pm)
Panel Discussion on Hepatitis B & C, exploring ways to stop this silent killer; with a representative of the Hep C+ve Network, Leena Menghaney, MSF Access Campaign coordinator and Dr Shashi Khare, Additional Director and Head (Microbiology), National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
During the event, participants can also walk through the MSF India “Who Cares?” exhibition, interact with MSF doctors and aid workers and hear their stories about life “in the field.” The exhibition will be open on the 30th and 31st of July, 2014 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
