Since 9 July our teams in Gaza have treated four children who have been hit by stray bullets from Israeli forces, including a 14-year-old boy who was shot twice in a camp near the yellow line and has had surgery. The other three were just eight, nine and 10 years old.
On Sunday, it was reported that another child, just nine years old, was killed in gunfire alongside five other people.
As this violence from Israeli forces continues, death and injury can strike at any moment. Children who are trying to survive in already dire conditions are being critically injured on a regular basis. There is no respite from the fear that people are living with.
We continue to call for the unconditional protection of civilians.
