MON, NAGALAND WORKSHOP – REPORT

May 28, 2014

MSF has been supporting Mon District hospital in partnership with the Government of Nagaland since 2010, by helping and providing assistance to the population of Mon District as well as to the neighbouring states. The project comes to a close this June 2014, and hospital will be taken over by the Department of Health, Nagaland.

MSF SARA was keen to utilise this last window of opportunity to connect with the Mon project staff. The project coordinator Beatrice and the HoM Luke Arend were happy to offer us this opportunity, in one of their last staff meetings, on May 28, 2014. Dr.Chanjiv Singh, President, MSF SARA facilitated the workshop. The staff were very interested in the association and the association coordinator helped fill in the membership forms. Eunice Thalih and Angin were elected as SARA representatives by the participants.

33 participants attended the workshop and we now have 24 new members from Nagaland.
