The burden of diabetes is increasing in India and is mainly fueled by unhealthy lifestyles. Nearly 50% of diabetics in India still do not know that they have diabetes. The prevention, management and associated complications with diabetes are a big challenge. In India, this is mostly due to the absence of a multisectoral approach, surveillance data, awareness regarding diabetes, risk factors, complications, access to health care settings and affordable medicines.
Call the MSF Telemedicine Helpline to receive free consultations on better management of diabetes from certified nurses and registered medical doctors.
